Žarko Popović is an associate at Gecić Law in Belgrade.
Žarko earned his LL.M. (International law) at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law and received his LL.B. (with honor “the best in class”) from the University of Kragujevac, Faculty of Law (2015-2019).
Prior to joining the firm, Žarko initiated the foundation of the Legal Clinic in Kragujevac and was its active member for three years (for civil & real estate law, discrimination, and labor & social law). He participated in the “Big Deal” regional company law competition and in the Regional Moot Court Competition in Human Rights before the European Court of Human Rights.
Žarko is the recipient of numerous recognitions, including a scholarship from the University of Kragujevac Foundation for top students and young scientists. For two years in a row (2019, 2020), Žarko is awarded a top national scholarship – “Dositeja” from the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Serbia (Foundation for Young Talents). Žarko is fluent in English and Serbian (Montenegrin, Bosnian, Croatian).
