Živko Simijonović is a Senior Associate at Gecić Law. He specializes in Commercial, Corporate/M&A, and Competition law, with significant experience advising leading Serbian and multinational companies. His work spans complex domestic and cross-border transactions, including banking and finance, and Real Estate matters. He has developed particular expertise in renewable energy, where he advises on large-scale wind farm and solar power projects, regulatory compliance, and investment structuring.
Before joining Gecić Law, Živko built a strong track record at renowned regional law firms. He has supported clients through all stages of corporate transactions – due diligence, contract drafting and negotiation, regulatory assessments, merger control, and competition law analysis. His multidisciplinary and solutions-oriented approach has earned him recognition in The Legal 500 EMEA. He was ranked as a Recommended Lawyer in Competition Law (2023), a Rising Star (2024), and a Key Lawyer in Commercial, Corporate, and M&A (2024).
Živko holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Kragujevac and has continued to develop professionally through various international programs, including RANEPA University’s Summer School. He is a member of the Belgrade Bar Association and the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Serbia. He is fluent in English and Serbian (Croatian, Bosnian, Montenegrin).
