We’re proud to share that Bogdan Gecić, Founding Partner of Gecić Law, joined the inaugural Perplexity AI Business Fellowship. This global program honors 1,000 business leaders shaping AI’s future across industries.
Bogdan ranks among very few lawyers selected worldwide. He is also one of the first participants from Southeast Europe. Bogdan’s selection for the program therefore reflects his leadership in legal innovation and the growing role of AI in transforming professional services.
Perplexity AI, a leading AI-powered research platform, launched the Fellowship in 2024. The program above all supports professionals who lead AI transformation in their industries. Applicants completed an especially rigorous global selection process. The Fellowship particularly focused on candidates with strong leadership, bold vision, and a drive to innovate with AI.
Fellows come from over 30 countries and span industries such as finance, healthcare, tech, and law. Many represent top-tier companies like Nvidia, Databricks, Box, and Bloomberg Beta. Additionally, participants receive hands-on access to Perplexity Enterprise Pro, an advanced AI research tool. They also gain direct mentorship from AI pioneers like Jensen Huang (Nvidia CEO) and Aaron Levie (Box co-founder).
The Fellowship combines strategy, experimentation, and peer exchange. Fellows apply what they learn to build real-world AI solutions in their fields.
For many years, Bogdan has championed legal innovation. As Gecić Law’s founding partner he also leads the firm’s AI practice, the region’s first dedicated legal AI department. Gecić Law has also established the region’s first Chief AI Officer position in a law firm. Bogdan’s Fellowship journey supports Gecić Law’s broader mission: to lead the legal profession in AI and deliver future-ready solutions for clients.
The Fellowship recently began with a dynamic kickoff led by Aravind Srinivas (CEO of Perplexity AI) and Dmitry Shevelenko (Chief Business Officer). Their message was clear: “Speed is the moat.” Fellows were encouraged to act boldly, think fast, and lead with agility in a fast-changing AI world.
“It’s indeed an incredible honor to join this forward-thinking global cohort,” said Bogdan. “AI is certainly transforming how we access and use information. I’m excited to explore the boundries of how it can enhance legal services. It’s a privilege to represent both the legal profession and Southeast Europe in a program of this scale.”
Bogdan will work with global AI leaders, apply advanced tools in legal and regulatory settings, and explore practical ways to integrate AI into legal practice.
Stay tuned for insights from Bogdan’s Fellowship experience—and new ideas for AI-powered legal innovation in Southeast Europe.
