The firm’s unrivalled EU & Competition Law team led the regulatory approval process, obtaining merger clearance from the national competition authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia. This milestone represents a cornerstone achievement in one of the most significant telecom transactions ever executed in the Western Balkans.
The transaction includes Telekom Srbija Group’s acquisition of NetTV Plus, direct-to-home (DTH) operations in Serbia and North Macedonia, and selected Sport Klub broadcasting rights in the Western Balkans. The strategic move strengthens Telekom Srbija’s market leadership and significantly expands its digital-content portfolio, catering to both regional audiences and the global diaspora. The acquisition marks a major step forward in the company’s regional and international expansion strategy.
