Gecić Law recently marked another major milestone at The Lawyer European Awards 2025, winning the title of Law firm of the Year South Eastern Europe for the third time. Often described as the “Oscars of the European legal profession”, the awards recognize excellence across one of Europe’s most competitive legal markets, spanning more than 150 million people across the Balkans and Turkey. This achievement places Gecić Law among the top one to two per cent of firms in the region, and within the highest single digits Europe-wide for sustained award performance.
Following the announcement, Founding Partner Bogdan Gecić spoke with CorD magazine, Serbia’s leading English-language publication, about the significance of the recognition, the firm’s European strategy, and the future of legal practice.
In the interview, Bogdan emphasized that repeated success at The Lawyer European Awards confirms that Gecić Law operates at the highest European level. The recognition reflects a long-term commitment to legal excellence, innovation, and strategic insight, as well as the firm’s ability to deliver tangible results for clients across jurisdictions.
Bogdan also highlighted the importance of the firm’s Brussels office, opened in 2025, which positions Gecić Law at the center of EU decision-making and makes it the first independent law firm east of Germany to establish such a presence. Looking ahead, he noted that continued focus on artificial intelligence, digitalization, sustainability, EU law, and international trade will be key to maintaining competitiveness and relevance on the European legal scene.
This third Law firm of the Year title reflects not only an exceptional year, but a sustained trajectory of excellence that continues to define Gecić Law’s role in shaping the legal landscape of Southeastern Europe and the European Union.
