On this occasion, Gecić Law is delighted to announce another round of promotions within its team as we congratulate three of our esteemed legal professionals who will receive recognition for their significant achievements. Our colleague Miodrag Jevtić is being promoted from Senior Associate to Counsel, while Vuk Leković and Nemanja Sladaković are promoted to Senior Associate.

Miodrag Jevtić joined Gecić Law two years ago. He brings to the firm more than 15 years of well-rounded regional experience in Corporate M&A, Banking & Finance and Dispute Resolution. Miodrag has advised and represented some of the most prominent entities in the region in a broad array of industries, including retail, food, transport, exports, banking & finance and TMT. At Gecić Law, Miodrag further strengthened his competencies by delivering strong results in his work for our major clients. Miodrag is a committed professional, who contributes to the team with his exceptional expertise, communication skills and client relationships. He is also recognized by his younger colleagues as a dedicated and outgiving mentor. He clarifies the most complex matters with ease, gladly offers guidance in their everyday work and regularly shows recognition for their contribution. Miodrag is always prepared to respond to the most complex of client needs and regularly meets and exceeds their expectations. He earned his Master of Laws degree with distinction from the University of Nottingham, School of Law, UK, in the field of international commercial law. He earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law, commercial module, as one of the best students of his generation.
Vuk Leković joined Gecić Law in 2020 as part of our EU, Trade & Competition team. Vuk is known for his thorough understanding of competition law in the Western Balkans, practical approach to problem-solving and an entrepreneurial spirit that clients often praise and has contributed to a series of successful competition cases. He took part in numerous large-scale M&A projects for some of the world’s most renowned companies as they apply to the region. He was a member of multiple regional teams that successfully resolved complex cases of abuse of dominant position and restrictive agreements before competition authorities. His expertise also includes public procurement and insurance law. Before joining the firm, Vuk worked at the Commission for Protection of Competition and at the National Bank of Serbia. Vuk is a licensed Public Procurement Officer and Bankruptcy Trustee. He holds an LL.M. in Business Law from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade.
Nemanja Sladaković joined Gecić Law in 2021. He has since proved his capacity to work with a wide variety of clients and on the most complex of matters. He specializes in Corporate / M&A, Real Estate and Labor Law and has significantly contributed to the establishment of the firm’s new ESG practice. Prior to joining Gecić Law, Nemanja worked with one of the region’s leading law firms on some of the most notable and prominent international investment projects in the Western Balkans. Nemanja holds a Master’s degree in Business, Law and Economics from the Faculty of Economics and Management, Aix-Marseille University, France, graduating as one of the top students in his class.
